Rotary Club of Plymouth, WI Donates to K9 Fund

 
Don Pohlman, Immediate Past President of the Plymouth Rotary Club, presented a $1,700 donation to Jeff Tauscheck, Plymouth Police Chief, for the Plymouth Police Department K9 Officer Fund.  The funds were raised at the Club’s annual Brat Fry at Plymouth Piggly Wiggly.

According to the Plymouth Police Department, the K9 Officer is Penny, a rescued chocolate mix lab. She has been trained in the detection of meth, heroin, marijuana, mdma (estacy) and cocaine. She has also been trained as a tracking dog for missing persons, runaways, and other similar situations. Her first day on the job is scheduled for September 3.
 
The Plymouth Rotary Club selects a worthy cause in the community annually and dedicates the funds raised at the brat fry to the designated organization.  The Plymouth Rotary Club was chartered on November 9, 1967, is affiliated with Rotary International and the motto "Service above self!" The club meets Wednesdays at 12 Noon at Mill Street Garden Restaurant in downtown Plymouth.
